The World is poetry

#48 Tree (growth)

DO NOT KICK ME

Do not tear at my roots

Do not look at me as tho I am just a weed

Do not think I am just a small delicate flower that you think you can hinder as you please

I am so much more than a weed

One day I am going to be tall and pristine

But not if you stop me

Treat me as a tree

For your see tho now I look like any other flower or weed

I am a tree

And if you don’t do that and I fall on you the sound will be calling

And It’ll be but a wreck

And then I’ll say

Don’t blame me for the lives of the other trees

The people who cut me down have more to do with it than me

And I warned them
