(Note: An ego boosting poem originally, now it just feels embarrissing)
I don’t want you to ever say again that you’re not beautiful
You have eyes that shine like stars and go deeper than any undersea cave
Your wavy brown hair could carry worlds on it and still never fall flat
Your cheeks the color of delicate pink flowers the moment you get flustered
Those long delicate legs and those small dainty hands of yours are just wondrous
You also don’t get to say you’re not intelligent
You are learning six languages
You got through an eight hundred page book in about two weeks
And that’s not to mention your plans for when you get your guitar fixed
Do you know many people who can do that on top of work or school
No you don’t
And no one can say as much as they hate it that you aren’t honest
You tell people how you feel and what you know no matter what
And most of all you try harder, work harder, practice harder than anyone I have ever known despite the extra challenges you face
So step away from the ever present mirror and show that beauty that strength that intelligence to the world
